Client intake and retainerNew clients are accepted by referral only. Engagement of our services is subject to payment of an initial retainer. The amount of the retainer is determined by Intuition Legal by reference to the referral source and any arrangement communicated by us at the time of referral. Unless otherwise determined by us, the default referral retainer is $5,000 plus GST. Following confirmation of the retainer, we may offer a short introductory session of up to 30 minutes, at no additional charge, to get to know you and your circumstances and to determine whether it is appropriate for us to act. This session may or may not involve legal discussion and does not constitute substantive legal advice. If we proceed beyond that stage, the scope of any work and our ongoing costs will be discussed with you and governed by our formal costs disclosure and costs agreement.
